Published on April 07, 2025 in A-Wines news

A-WINES California is proud to announce an exciting tour across Kenya, Nigeria, and South Africa in collaboration with the California Wine Institute. As part of our commitment to growing the presence of premium California wines in Africa, we are showcasing some of the best wineries from our portfolio, including O’Neill Vintners, Jordan, Stewart Cellars, Rebel Ridge, Wente Vineyards, and Lapis Luna.
This initiative aims to strengthen relationships with importers, distributors, and hospitality professionals while introducing African wine lovers to the exceptional quality of California wines. Africa is a growing market with a sophisticated and expanding consumer base eager for diverse and high-quality wine selections.

A Tour to Connect & Inspire
Our tour featured exclusive tastings, industry networking events, and educational sessions in key cities, including Nairobi, Lagos, and Cape Town. Through these engagements, we hoped to gain insights into the local markets and explore how we could better support the industry with premium offerings from California’s renowned vineyards.
The African wine market is evolving rapidly, with increased demand for New World wines, particularly in metropolitan centers. We believe that through direct engagement, we can foster stronger partnerships and create sustainable opportunities for growth.

Looking Ahead
This tour marks just the beginning of a broader initiative to integrate California wines into Africa’s flourishing wine scene. We invite local importers, sommeliers, restaurant owners, and wine enthusiasts to join us at our next tasting events and experience firsthand what makes our wineries so special.
As we embark on this journey, we look forward to building lasting partnerships and unlocking new opportunities for California wines in Africa. Stay tuned for more updates and event details as we bring a taste of California’s finest to the continent.
