At AWines California, we believe wine is about discovery—finding a new producer, a different grape, or a familiar region seen through fresh eyes. That spirit was alive at Wine Village 2025, organised by Global Wineries and returning for its 21st edition in one of Antwerp’s most iconic settings—the historic Handelsbeurs—where we had the pleasure of participating alongside more than 60 producers from around the globe.

Over two days, the grand halls welcomed thousands of enthusiasts and professionals eager to explore over 400 cuvées. Against this remarkable backdrop, we proudly showcased two iconic names from our portfolio: Wente Family Vineyards and Girard Winery.

For Belgian wine lovers, it was a chance to experience the pioneering legacy of Wente, California’s first family of Chardonnay, and the bold yet balanced expressions of Girard, whose wines capture the essence of Napa’s diverse terroirs. The conversations we shared, the curiosity we encountered, and the enthusiasm of visitors reminded us why we do what we do: to bring California’s finest wines to an international stage.

Wine Village was more than a tasting—it was a celebration of people, place, and passion. We were delighted to see the spirit of Napa and the San Francisco Bay resonate so strongly in Antwerp, and we look forward to continuing the journey of sharing California’s innovation and excellence across Europe.
